Do you wonder about the future of the mortgage industry and the U.S. economy? Mortgage trends change with the economy, but a solid education and foundation in principles that govern the mortgage industry will endure and prepare you for what lies ahead. Whether you are new to mortgage lending, new to your mortgage organization, or just want a refresher on the basics of the industry, Mortgage Principles and Trends is for you.
In this AllRegs Academy program, industry experts will teach you about the details of mortgage processes, from the relationship between the buyer and the investor and everything in between. At the end of this course, you will gain knowledge about all the components of the loan cycle, including loan production, underwriting, secondary marketing, regulatory compliance, loss mitigation and fraud.
Not only will you learn from the instructors, you’ll examine the course topics through engaging classroom activities with your peers. Participants will explore problem-solving case studies using Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD guidelines using real-estate math, as well as AllRegs Information Service products. Participants will need a calculator to class to complete activities.

Class Schedule
Classroom programs begin with registration on Monday at 8:30 a.m. Class is held from
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday and
Tuesday. Class begins at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning
and concludes at 5:00 p.m. after a final assessment. Students successfully
completing the course will receive an industry-recognized certificate of completion.

Alan R. Fowler, CMB, is president of Suburban Mortgage Company of New Mexico. Alan has been with Suburban since 1980 and has held positions in servicing, production and secondary marketing before becoming President in 1999.
